Elisa with Georgie and Strider
Mrs Elisa Jackson DVM MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon/Practice Owner
I was born in Italy by a Scottish mother and an Italian father. I grew up on a farm and I knew that my future would involve animals whilst playing vet to the wildlife from a very early age. I qualified as a vet in Italy 1993 and after spending 1 year on a training placement at GUVS in equine surgery, I then went to work as a mixed small and large animal vet in Newcastle for several years.
It was then that I realised that my real passion was in small animal medicine and surgery general practitioner and in 1998 I moved back to my mother’s home country where I purchased and developed Condorrat Veterinary Surgery. Most of my time is spent in practice but when I do have some free time it’s spent either catching up on much needed sleep, snacking on Nutella sandwiches or with my 2 son’s Alex and Duncan and with my own pets Georgie (Border Terrier), Strider (Springer) (shown in the image), and Phoebe (Ragdoll cross).
Emma and Mortimer
Emma BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Originally from Cumbernauld, my interest in veterinary medicine began when I started seeing practice on Saturday mornings at Condorrat Vets. I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2010 but left Scotland to work in South Yorkshire for many years, before ultimately returning in 2020 and joining the Condorrat team in September 2021.
I enjoy all aspect of first-opinion practice, particularly getting to meet all of the amazing clients and their fabulous fur-babies. When not in work, or tending to the many demands of my Sphynx cat Mortimer, I enjoy reading, running, yoga and playing video-games.
Mila and Fox
Mila Hernández Bonilla DVM, MSc, GPCert Oncology, MRCVS

I then carried out 2-year internship in the Emergency and Critical Care service, at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Murcia (Spain). After working in different veterinary hospitals and veterinary practices in Spain, from 2017-2023, I was the head of internal medicine and oncology in one private practice in Salamanca, Spain.
I completed my General Practitioner Certificate in Oncology by ESVPS in 2018. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine with particular interest in internal medicine, oncology, cytology and diagnostic imaging.
I joined Condorrat Veterinary Surgery in Summer 2023. I just love animals and nature, which is why my perfect weekend would be walking through the Scotland’s trails with my faithful dog Fox.
Veterinary Nurses
Rachael and Jeffery
Rachael RVN
Head Nurse/Practice Manager
I started my journey at Condorrat Veterinary Surgery in 2012 as a student veterinary nurse seeing practice. I was lucky enough to get employment during my 2nd year of placement and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2013. Since a very young age I have always adored animals and knew that one day I would eventually be working with them, which inspired me to become a veterinary nurse. I love all aspect of nursing but I do have a keen interest in surgical nursing and emergency critical care.
Throughout my years at Condorrat, I earned my Head nurse position and recently have been made Practice manager. I have a young son who takes up most of my time but if I do get a chance to run off you’ll find me horse riding, catching up with friends or enjoying a long country walk. I have 2 elderly chihuahuas – Nando and Khloe and a rescued cockatiel called Jeffery, I would be lost without them.
Hannah and Artemis
Hannah RVN
Deputy Head Nurse
I’ve been at Condorrat Vets since 2016 when I started my training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse whilst attending SRUC Barony, I then graduated in 2018 and stayed onto work here. As of May 2023 I took up the role of Deputy Head Nurse. I’ve always had a keen interest in animals, having been brought up with a variety of different pets from degus to cats and regular visits to the farm behind my house.
I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some capacity, but it wasn’t until I done some work experience in a vet practice seeing the vet nurses involved in all aspects of the practice and utilising a range of different skills that I knew that’s what I wanted to do. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but particularly enjoy surgical nursing. I have 3 cats; Oslo, Bono and Artemis. Outside of work, I enjoy getting out in nature, kayaking and crocheting.
Jennifer and Willow
Jennifer RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in June 2023 with a BSc Honours Degree from Edinburgh Napier University. I started at Condorrat vets in January of 2022 and completed the majority of my placements as a Student Veterinary Nurse within the practice. I was grateful to be offered a job as a student at the end of 2022 and to stay on once I graduated university. I have always wanted to have a career working with and helping animals, so veterinary nursing was something I had my heart set on throughout school.
I have one crazy French Bulldog called Willow (in the image) who many of our clients may have met at the front desk (where she can often be found asking for biscuits).
Willow takes up the majority of my time and I enjoy spending time with her, taking her on walks and napping on the couch.
I enjoy many aspects of veterinary nursing but I have a particular interest in surgical nursing from monitoring patients under anaesthesia to performing schedule 3 procedures. I also have an interest in medical nursing, looking after inpatients, giving medications etc and generally trying to make there stay as stress free and comfortable as possible.
Naomi and Peggy Sue
Naomi RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2019 from the College of Animal Welfare in Huntingdon. I trained and worked at a Veterinary hospital in Norwich for 6 years, which gave me the opportunity to assist with many different emergency cases. In 2022 I travelled to New Zealand for a year to work and tour the South Island.
I loved seeing all the different wildlife and going for adventures in the stunning scenery. I started working at Condorrat Vets in November 2023 when I returned to the UK.
My main interests in Nursing are inpatient care and nursing clinics. However, the variety of the job is what I love most about it so I like to get involved in a little of everything. I have two cats, Eddie who I hand reared when he was orphaned, and my tripod Peggy Sue who had nerve damage to her leg as a kitten. In my spare time i enjoy reading and going for long walks in the beautiful Scottish countryside.
Rachel and Blush
Rachel SVN
Student Veterinary Nurse
I am currently a student veterinary nurse studying at SRUC Barony and have recently completed my third year. I started at Condorrat vets in May 2023 to carry out my practical training year and have enjoyed learning all aspects of veterinary nursing particularly surgical nursing and inpatient care.
I have been given the opportunity to continue to work alongside my studies and am looking forward to continuing to get to know the clients and their pets at Condorrat vets as well as learning more new skills. Outside of work I enjoy horse riding and going out walking with my cocker spaniel, Alfie.
Receptionists
Liz
Receptionist
I moved down from the Highlands in 2007 and have been working at Condorrat Vets since July 2008, often referred to “as part of the furniture”. I did attempt to retire back in 2020 but was swiftly dragged back to work by my pining colleagues. I started in the veterinary industry as a receptionist in search of a new endeavour and enjoy being one of the first friendly faces the clients are greeted by.
I have a pet budgie named Rio; he likes to keep me busy tidying up after him. During my free time I enjoy spending time with the grandkids and their new puppy Nova, reading or getting out in the sun for a spot of gardening.
Pauline
Receptionist
I joined the team in 2020 bringing with me 8 years of veterinary reception experience. I live at home with my husband, Brody the dog- who is 6 years old and Raz the cat – who is 10 years old (he runs the house and keeps us all in check). With my love for animals, my outgoing personality and my passion for customer service I always knew life as a veterinary receptionist was the job for me. In my spare time you’ll find me taking long dog walks with my husband, spending quality time with my mum, raising money for charity and dancing.
Gillian
Receptionist/Pet Insurance Administrator
I started working at Condorrat Vets in June 2021. Although relatively new to the practice, I have a huge amount of experience having worked in another Practice for 33 years. I enjoy all aspects of my job/role, and take great pride in trying to make our clients and fur babies feel at ease.
I am responsible for processing all Insurances and enquiries. In my spare time, you will find me chilling with my wife and 3 cats (Davi, Mendes & JJ), spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
Jill
Receptionist
I started working in the Veterinary Profession in 2001, and I have been at Condorrat Vets since June 2021, bringing with me a wealth of experience.
I love meeting and greeting our clients and their furry friends, always having spare Schmakos & Dreamies on hand. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, relaxing at home with my wife and fur babies, and planning trips to New York.
Ami
Receptionist
I joined Condorrat Vets in December 2023 after working as client care advisor at a veterinary referral centre. I have over ten years customer service experience and I have loved animals from a very young age. I therefore jumped at the opportunity to be a receptionist.
I enjoy interacting with our clients and their pets. Puppy cuddles is always a welcome perk of the role!
I live in Plains with my husband and our two cats: Rihanna and Ollie (A.K.A Brolly). In my spare time you’ll either find me on the dance floor learning a new swing dance or in the kitchen baking some sweet treats.
